My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

The prophet had said to Naaman the Syrian, if he would go to the river Jordan and dip and wash seven times he would be cleansed of his leprosy.

Namaan was a great warrior. He had traversed the countries if Israel and Syria many times. He knew the hills and the dales, the mountains and the valleys, the lakes and the rivers. If only he knew that healing powers were in  these natural sources he would have chosen the best the biggest and even the greatest,

He Heard the WHISPER:

12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. 

​

If only we knew that "It is not by might nor by power nut by my Spirit saith the Lord. (Zech. 4:6 KJV). It is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth  but of God that sheweth mercy. (Rom. 9:16). You see God does not depend on any resources, intelligences, or powers to accomplish his objectives.

It is he calleth those things which be not as though they were. (Rom. 4:17). And Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Heb. 11:3).  So we walk by faith and not by sight. We do not ask How God? but we say "Thy will be done".

But the serpent's whisper arises, "Hath God said"? To create doubt. Raise objections. And limit God with our feeble human thoughts. Not realising that his thoughts are not like our thoughts nor his ways like our ways. (Isa, 55:8-9). God says wash seven times and be healed.  The healing is not in the No. 7, its not in the Jordan river,  Its not in the water either but deliverance is in obedience. Do not listen to the serpent's whisper.

It took the servants  to say to him:

My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

On on obedience his flesh was restored like that of a little child. Oh the Grace and Mercy of God as he strove to build faith and tust in fallen humanity,

What practice or practices today can be classified as the :"Whisper of the serpent and how can church and families guard against them?

​

Israel was susceptible to food, that was their Achilles heal, do you think that people of God can have Achilles heal and how can the church fortify itsel against the onslaught of the wicked one as he tries to capitalize on their Achilles heal?
