Dem Pastor's Kids

These boys grew up in a Christian home. So they knew the Word of God. It is unfortunate that their mother died when they were of a tender age and their father was saddled with the responsibility to rear them righteously. And truly  everyone thought they were.

They were there in Sunday school, learned all their  memory verses and always won the top prizes. When it is time for Bible battle, no one knew their verses like Phini and Hophnus. Youth meetings is where they excelled. At some time they both were youth leaders.

They were friendly boys. Too close for comfort some would say, especially when it came to dealing with the young girls. Some argued that they were their protectors. Ensuring that they got to church safely and got home safely. Who could argue with that?

Rumours began to spread about unseemly behaviours among these boys, Some believed it and some didn't. Some brushed it under the carpet.  But their father the old man, just said, "nay my boys, these are not good tidings that I hear. However, when the truth came out, Phini and Hophnus were seducing the young ladies and sleeping with them. Scandal and shame rocked the church and threatened to dismantle every fabric that their father had  tried so hard to build.
