Apostolic Authority - Them That Heard Him

We can site Proverbs - We can quote Psalms

We can reference Genesis and Songs of Solomon

But if it is not spoken unto us by Jesus or confirmed by them that heard him - it's not worth anything.

There is no longer a Tabernacle in the wilderness. No longer a temple in Jerusalem - No longer Christ on earth. He has sent his Holy Spirit to live in us and we are God's Sanctuary on earth.  The scripture declares, "Know ye not that you are God's temple and the Holy Spirit lives in you. Child of God wake up, realize that God lives in  you by his Holy Spirit.

The New Testament reveals the totality of God's will as it regards to Sex and the Sanctuary.  The Apostle Paul  declares 1 Corinthians 6:18

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. The word fornication means sexual immorality. A sin against your body is a sin against the temple of God. And he that defiles the temple of God him shall God destroy. A defiler of the temple of God is opening himself up for blows.

The debate is on. What sexual behaviours qualify as sexual immorality. I believe that all sexual behaviour  outside of marriage is immoral. I believe that every behaviour that is intended to arouse and gratify sexual feelings are immoral sexual behaviours. So when David was peeping around from his housetop, that was immoral. I have discussed  else where  that when God brought Adam and Eve together Christ alluded to their maleness and femaleness as the reason why a man would leave father and mother and cleave to his wife and they twain shall become one flesh. I believe it's the act of sex plus the accompanying fore activities that is being alluded. Paul confirms that two married people cannot defile the bed, Marriage legitimizes sexual behaviour.

Christ set the tone with  his Moses said but I say and with his "from the beginning it was not so".

Now we know that our (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

"body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's".

We are required to primarily use our body as an instrument of glorification to God. The only time that sex does that is when it is done between two married people who have committed themselves to each other to be a type of Christ and the church. Paul Says: "This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the Church".

1 Cor. 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

I wonder how does one become joined to a harlot other than by sexual intercourse.

Sex is a joining device. God forbids his people from being joined to any other for he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

This is why God enjoins his people to flee from fornication.
