Delusions of Culture
Scheme 1
The first scheme of the serpent is to delude men and women into thinking that every nation or group of people is entitled to their own culture and way of life and he has led us to believe that the cultural customs of a community is the divine will of God.
Whereas, every culture (a body of people identified by language, customs, values, practices and similar attributes) has a serpent-defined worldview that may not and mostly does not match up with God’s will. Satan has led us to believe that the cultural customs of a community is the divine will of God. The cultural customs can at best be the permissive will of God.
God may work with and may accommodate the cultural habits and customs of a particular group of people. But the fact that he did is not an indication of his condonement of them. E.g.

Abraham and Hagar

Esther and Ahasuerus

Ruth and Boaz
God’s divine will about sex is clearly spelled out in Lev. 18, and Deut 22. This after many aberrations were committed by many men of God and some of these aberrations and indiscretions continued to be committed by David, and Solomon and Rehoboam, God clearly warned Israel that when they come into the land:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God. 3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. 4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.
God’s will for his people is not the customs and culture of the people in whose land they live but his statutes and his judgments. When you are in Rome you shall not do as the Romans do.
God’s will and design for sex is not culturally based, but is based on his original design
